So Close We Can Taste It

Okay, so I realize it's not summer quite yet, but on Saturday the Vancouver weather gods gave us a lovely taste of what we hope is to come.  And it was delicious.  Intoxicating.

We greedily basked in the golden light of early evening but gladly shared it with good friends.

These kids enjoyed this little spoonful of summer so much that they wore it all over their adorably dirty little faces.

For now, we will let this small taste sustain us, but it won't be long before we are banging our spoons on the table and begging for more!

    1. True. I'm sure I'll be moaning about the heat come late July, especially with a bun in the oven making my internal temperature a thousand degrees higher than usual.
