As you may have figured out by now, Monday Listicles is the bright spot at the beginning of my week. This week the topic was a no-brainer: Halloween! And what's more Halloween-y than pumpkins, I ask? The answer is... nothing. At this time of year, we can't get enough of them. And lucky for you, I'm willing to share. Here is my list of ten things pumpkin:
1. First up? The pumpkin patch, of course!
2. The Pumpkin Princess at said pumpkin patch.
3. Carving pumpkins and frolicking elbow deep in pumpkin guts.
4. Daddy's pumpkin. 5. Lilah's pumpkin. 6. Mummy's pumpkin. Can you guess which is which?
7. Roasted pumpkin seeds, fresh out of the oven.
8. Lilah's trick-or-treat basket.
9. Pumpkin seed cookies. Recipe here. (Okay, so they don't look quite as good as the originals. That's because I let Lilah help.)
10. And finally, my favourite little pumpkin of all:
Oh my, the cutest pumpkin EVER! Love your photos. Such a great spin. Ad for the record, pumpkin is my favorite word in English. Just love the way it sounds. Actually even in Slovenian it is pretty cool. Buchka.
ReplyDelete@StashaIt's fun in French, too. And with the beret, we thought Lilah looked more like une petite citrouille than a just a plain old pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteI love Lilah :) She's my new best friend. So fun to see her in photos and bask in her sweet expressions. I love seeing you in photos too! Looks like you guys have been having a whole lotta pumpkin fun!
ReplyDeleteShe is an adorable pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteWe just carved our pumpkin tonight so I will be roasting seeds tomorrow. Those cookies sound interesting.
Oh my, this post really *is* all things fab about this time of year! Love!
ReplyDeleteShe is the cutest pumpkin! What lovely pictures and what great fun with pumpkins! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful costume! She made a super cute pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteThose are a lot of my favourite pumpkin things too. The seeds yum. The patch ditto.
ReplyDeleteDude, I want to be the Pumpkin Princess! Any reason to boss people around seems like a great job to me, plus a corset top works wonders for the "girls".
ReplyDeleteI love your little pumpkin! She's so adorable!
I must say, I'm not sure I have ever frolicked in pumpkin guts! LOL That one made me giggle. You do have a mighty cute pumpkin. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDelete@Bees With HoneyShe loves you too. ;)
ReplyDelete@JessicaThe cookies are both tasty and reasonably healthy - half of the flour is whole wheat, and they are sweetened with honey. The worst ingredient is butter. Toddlers seem to like them as much as the really junky cookies, so it's a win-win!
ReplyDelete@Galit BreenThank you!
ReplyDelete@JackieCheck your local patch - maybe they are hiring!
ReplyDeletepumpkin carving was always my least favorite thing to do at Halloween. we have yet to do it with Lovie... but i'm thinking we're gonna have to next year. hopefully i can move past the mess of it all and just enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI smile everytime I open your page and see Lilah's sweet little face and she makes an adorable pumpkin! I haven't decorate for Halloween at all...:(
ReplyDeleteI like the very last pumpkin best as well!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween to you and Lilah.
@finallyMom.blogspot.comI didn't enjoy it before I had a kid, either. But Seeing my girlie girl get her hands messy with pumpkin guts turned all that around for me!
ReplyDelete@BestfoodiesAw, that is such a sweet thing to say! It's not too late to start decorating. :)
ReplyDeleteShe makes the cutest pumpkin ever!
ReplyDeleteSuch great pictures!! I'm so impressed she helped with the pumpkin guts!
ReplyDeleteLove her costume...hope you guys had a great Halloween :)
Love the photos! Great rundown of H-ween. I actually roasted seeds in TO. Honey roasted! Woo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteI love the cookies, and your hat!
