Last weekend when were were in Whistler, we experienced our first snow of the season.

Vancouver's snow wasn't far behind, showing itself on Friday.  (Along with sleet, hail, and rain.  Because we Vancouverites like to have plenty of options.)

It was pretty minimal as snow goes, but it did collect enough for me to get a few shots for this week's photo challenge.  Even so, I found myself casting around for subjects.

Which is when I found this cool old car parked near my home.

I know exactly zilch about cars, and even less about how to photograph them, but I sure had fun trying!

Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge

  1. Love your white shots. It snowed here too, yesterday.
That old car is really cool :)

  2. That old car is a find. Perfect for white week, epecially with the dusting of snow. I must admit the thought of snow, sleet, and hail makes me a little glad we are still in the 70s. lol. Thanks so much for linking to the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge. Make sure to stop by next week for a chance to win some fab prizes. Just share your favorite auutmn photo.

  3. I can't believe you beat us in the "first snow" contest! It is definitely colder here now...I actually had to put on socks this weekend. LOL
But so far, none of the white stuff.

  4. I think you did a great job taking pictures of the car! I love the snow shots, just perfect!

  5. I absolutely love your 3rd shot! The first one almost looks like a close-up of one of those ceramic Christmas villages. So cool!
Thanks for joining us in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge. Don't forget to share your favorite autumn photos with us during next week's finale. There are prizes up for grabs! Have a great day.

  6. I love love this! These are truly beautiful pictures!
