Mars Krispie Squares, Lilah Style
1. Put on a cute apron - looking adorable in the kitchen makes the food taste better.
2. Melt 1/2 a cup of butter with 4 Mars Bars over low heat, stirring frequently until melted and smooth.
3. Mix together with 2 cups of Rice Krispies.
4. Pack mixture flat into a square(ish) pan.
5. Lick the spoon. Yum!
6. Cool in fridge, about 2 hours, or overnight, if your mom says it's time for bed before the pan has cooled.
7. Melt a package (minus a few handfuls here or there) of milk chocolate chips in the microwave, about a minute on high, removing at the 30 second mark to stir.
8. Pour melted chocoloate on top of squares, smoothing with a spatula.
9. Put pan back in the fridge and allow to cool for at least an hour before cutting.
10. High five!
Homestly I don't like any of the ingredients other then chocolate. BUT I love love love the photos. LIlah rocks!
ReplyDeleteEdible! The squares look tasty too. Have you tried her on grilled peanut butter and bacon sandwiches yet?
ReplyDeletePS: It's 'flair'.
Oops, BAD WORD NERD! Thanks for catching that.
DeleteAs for the peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, she's a huge fan of peanut butter, but not so much on the bacon. One day she will come to appreciate the wonder that is bacon. For now, we stick to boring, toddler-friendly food combinations.
From a Kathy Shaidle post titled Me, in a nutshell: "I just found a typo in the Victoria's Secret catalog."
DeleteCheese. I forgot the cheese. Peanut butter, bacon, cheese. She'll grow into it. What a cutie!
Adorable little cook in the kitchen. Great recipe! Might have to try it out with my girls. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteShe is the prettiest little girl ever!!
ReplyDeleteCooking with toddlers is the best. Recipe sounds overthetop chocolate. No doubt a big hit.
ReplyDeleteI love. love, love that recipe. It knocks people socks off and is quick. Oh and did I mention I could eat half of it myself.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite similar to a recipe that I tried recently and they really are scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteGood Lord, those sound sinfully delish! Cute, cute pics. Where's the final photo of Miss Lilah eating the bars? :)
