Apparently small fingers are attracted to hot wax. Which is, in fact, hot, and will burn little fingers. Duh. I'm not sure if it was the hot wax or my (and her many adoring fans') reaction to her touching it that actually made her cry, but needless to say, it wasn't my proudest moment as a mother. Meh, you live, you learn, and all's well that ends well!
