Summer is coming! Well, at least in theory. Vancouver had a delicious taste a little while ago, but since then, the cupboard has been a little bare. Ah well, at least we have our sweet memories of summers past to tide us over. Which brings me to this week's listicle, 10 summer memories. I had to dig deep into the archives to bring you some of these:
Camp.
Backbacking around Europe with the man I now call the Hubs.
Heading across the border to the Gorge Amphitheatre for outdoor concerts. Camping in a huge field in the middle of nowhere just to see the Dave Matthews Band play three nights in a row.
White water rafting.
Yeah, that's me riding up front with the dubious look on my face. |
Camping.
Cookouts.
Leftovers, anyone? |
Beach days.
Waterparks.
Turning a drinking fountain into our own personal water park on a hot day.
What are your favourite summer memories? Share them in the comments, and head on over to visit the Listmaster for more Monday Listicles!
Thanks for the reminder that summer exists if only in our memories.

Deleteomg....you are too much fun!! love the pics. I want to come hang out, or camp in a field with you and eat hot dogs! LOL
ReplyDeleteit's all about the waterpark these days. the kids love it, and we grown ups can find a shady spot and gab.
Well I'll let you know when summer arrives on the West coast and then you can start planning your trip out here. ;) Agreed on the water park front!
Deleteoh i'll have some of those leftovers!
ReplyDeleteTo my dirty-minded Hubs: you don't need to wait for leftovers, you can firsts! ;)
DeleteAmazing pictures! Made me wish I was a bit more outdoorsy and adventurous.
ReplyDeleteWell, those days are on hold for now, with a two-year-old and another on the way, but I hope we get back to them in summers to come!

I'm sure it will arrive when I'm 41.5 weeks pregnant and bloated beyond recognition. ;)
DeleteGreat pics! I love the one jumping in the water (or that's what it looks like). :D Fun times!
ReplyDeleteYeah, jumping backwards off the dock for the sake of a photo. ;)
DeleteGood times! You look so very excited to be white water rafting :)
ReplyDeleteThe next picture in the series shows my feet in the air as I went ass over tea kettle back onto the floor of the boat. ;)
DeleteThose are some great summer memories. Cookouts definitely rank high on my list of summer memories too! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your list! Here in NC we have hot, humid summers and water play is the most desired thing to do.
ReplyDeleteDo you age at all?! Stop that Amanda. Just stop it.
ReplyDeleteLoved these!! I feel like I relived your formative years...just a little bit.
Ha! Might be why I avoid close ups... and you're one to talk, my friend! :)
DeleteAwesome memories! Love the water fountain one! They are so cute :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures...I have too many things I like to name about them! But that last picture is my favorite. Her expression and the sunlight...wow, just priceless.
