10 words that describe my home:
1. Chaotic, yet 2. Sparse. We're moving. Need I say more?
3. Brown. I seem to be partial to brown in my decorating tastes. This only just dawned on me recently when we started making choices for our new home. I guess I like my furniture to match my hair...?
4. Small. But, much like my belly, we're expanding. (Unlike my belly, we're not expanding by a much; moving from two bedroom condo to a three bedroom townhouse in the same complex we've been living in for the past five years.)
5. Neighbourly. If you've been following for a while, you know how much we adore our neighbours and neighbourhood. Hence the whole not-moving-very-far thing.
6. Comfortable. 7. Cozy. 8. Warm. (At least I hope it is all of these things.)
9. Happy.
10. Loving.

Love that picture at the end! So sweet. :) Good luck with your move. I'm glad you don't have to go far and that you get to keep your neighbors!
ReplyDeleteSo excited you are moving. So excited it is not far. So excited you need more space. And I missed you and Lilahbility very much too!!
ReplyDeleteHow perfect that you are able to expand without having to move out of your beloved neighbourhood! Great list, and such a sweet picture too!
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to brown in the house too. Only it doesn't match my hair - it's blonde (ish). I couldn't possibly have blonde furniture though, not with all of these boys!
ReplyDeleteI like your description. I have a lot of brown myself. Does that mean I have to start getting grey furniture?
ReplyDeleteHaha, good point. I'm going to have to start mixing in some grey furniture. Or perhaps just touch up my roots...?
DeleteLove that picture - I think happy and loving homes are often comfy, cozy and warm :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable picture! I am going more towards brown lately too. I guess it hides dirt easier Ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI think that's part of the reason I'm so partial to it myself!
Deletesounds wonderful. so glad you don't have to leave the neighborhood you love. It broke my heart when our neighbors started moving and when we moved-just 4 days ago!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! And I too pick brown, but my reason is to match (hide) the dirt. :) Ellen
ReplyDeleteYour home sounds awesome! And, I'm so glad you'll not be moving away from your neighborhood :)
ReplyDeleteWhen you find great friends and a warm neighbourhood, you stay! I don't blame you for not moving far. Love everything you listed about what home is for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and your home sounds quite inviting to me. You will have to do a similar post when you are in your new home. See what changes!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan!
Delete#10 is the most important and definitely what makes a house a home! Such a great list. Good luck with the move.
